For the meatballs:

  • 1 lb. roll of maple sausage
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • ½ cup Panko bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup Richard’s Maple Syrup ( or another pure maple syrup)

For the glaze:

  • 1 tbs chili garlic sauce
  • ½ cup Richard’s Maple Syrup ( or another pure maple syrup)
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Place the sausage, egg, bread crumbs, and ¼ cup maple syrup into a large mixing bowl. Mix until fully combined, but do not overwork the meat.
  3. Shape into small meatballs, about 1 ½ inches in diameter, and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until meatballs are browned and cooked through.
  5. While meatballs are baking, combine the chili garlic sauce, ½ cup maple syrup, and soy sauce into a slow cooker, and turn heat to low.
  6. Add the cooked meatballs and heat for about 30 minutes.
  7. Turn slow cooker to warm before serving.

Serve as is or over a bed of sticky rice with some veggies. Yum, yum!
