Asian Maple Sausage Meatballs
Are you hosting a party soon where you need some bite-size appetizers, or just looking for another easy weeknight dinner? These scrumptious meatballs with a savory maple glaze are sure to please!
For the meatballs:
- 1 lb. roll of maple sausage
- 1 large egg, beaten
- ½ cup Panko bread crumbs
- ¼ cup Richard’s Maple Syrup ( or another pure maple syrup)
For the glaze:
- 1 tbs chili garlic sauce
- ½ cup Richard’s Maple Syrup ( or another pure maple syrup)
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Place the sausage, egg, bread crumbs, and ¼ cup maple syrup into a large mixing bowl. Mix until fully combined, but do not overwork the meat.
- Shape into small meatballs, about 1 ½ inches in diameter, and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until meatballs are browned and cooked through.
- While meatballs are baking, combine the chili garlic sauce, ½ cup maple syrup, and soy sauce into a slow cooker, and turn heat to low.
- Add the cooked meatballs and heat for about 30 minutes.
- Turn slow cooker to warm before serving.
Serve as is or over a bed of sticky rice with some veggies. Yum, yum!
